About

I am Mark Jeweler – I’m a passionate Information Technologist, and an equally passionate Actor & Director.  I love everything about Computers & Technology, and everything involving theatre, film, and video productions (well, everything except the divas.)

I live in Severna Park, MD.  I have three incredible sons, aged 12, 15, and 18.  I work for the Federal Government in IT.  I was married in 1987, and separated in July, 2009.

I program in a variety of languages, currently my environment of choice is C# and ASP.NET.

Other areas of interest include Photography, Video Games, Computer Games, Board Games, RPG’s, reading, writing/composing, poetry, singing, helping people.

I have worked for a variety of companies, big and small, including GTE, Digex, EDS, MD Department of Natural Resources (DNR), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Bell Atlantic, SmartPants, MembersNow.Com, Radio Shack, The Gap, Papa Johns, McDonalds, Paspex, TAC EDP, Manpower, and Anne Arundel Medical Center.

I was born Jewish, and retain that identity both spiritually and culturally; and I was born again in 1996.  Thus, I am both Jewish and Christian, though I identify myself as Christian primarily.  Labels are a curious thing, as they mostly serve to tell other people information rather than necessarily convey pure fact.  By way of example, Jesus never called himself other than Jewish; yet if I call myself Jewish, it in essence denies my faith in Christ.  Alternatively, if I call myself Christian, people interpret that to deny my Jewish heritage.  If I call myself a Messianic Jew, people associate that with a specific organization which I am not associated with.  So I have chosen the label that feels right to me and conveys what I feel to be the most important information to others.  I am a Christian – that is, a follower of Christ.
