It’s been rediculously long since I’ve posted ANYTHING. I’m such a bad blogger. I’ll try to post more frequently.
Meanwhile… I’ve been up to my elbows working on A Tree as High as the Ceiling. This is a play that was brought to my attention by a teacher at Arnold Christian Academy, where my middle and youngest son currently attend. She was my oldest son’s teacher last year – and she’s a hoot. A great teacher, a wonderful human being, and a geek like me (the best people I’ve ever met are).
So she corners me in the parking lot one day at school, tells me about this wonderful play that she was in years ago when she was in high school – and she wants to put it on at our school… And she wants me to direct it! I agreed. Then she tells me she wants me to be in it. I agreed. Then she tells me she wants my oldest son to be in it. Wowzer. OK – I’ll see what he says, and I’ll audition him. She suggests I audition all my boys. I agreed.
WHAT WAS I THINKING!?!?!
Anyway, so now we’re a week away from staging the thing, and it’s amazing how God has pulled it all together from such humble beginings.
So here’s a quick (4:30 approx) trailer/teaser I made (I know – I’m not a professional – so sue me. No, better yet, tell me I show such promise that you want to mentor me for free!!!) to advertise this to our church and others nearby.
So check it out, enjoy it, and come see it.
